Winter Gloves 2Back in March, we introduced you to the Winter Gloves with the video of their single “Let Me Drive”, off of their debut album About a Girl.  We were pretty awed with the video at the time, but for some reason didn’t pay much attention to the album.  But over the past six months, it has really grown on my.  I think it’s definitely one of the best indie rock debuts of the year. This indie “glock-rock” band from Montreal should be getting a lot more attention than the little they have garnered thus far this year. Their album is really solid and they’ve created a second really creative and entertaining video again.  Check out this 50′s themed video for the very fun and danceable “Party People”.

I have been flooded with new music videos as of late, most of which have been fantastic.  Its been bothering me that I normally only dedicate one day to music videos, and if I continue at only one a week I am really selling a lot of people short.

This first video is from Winter Gloves, a band based out of Quebec/Montreal.  What is most stunning about this video is the fact that nothing you see is done in post-production.  So yeah, they took that many pictures and pieced them all together.

Winter Gloves’ full length album, about a girl, comes out March 24th (Paper Bag Records).

This next video is from the Sydney based folk-duo Angus and Julia Stone:

Fans of lo-fi folk featuring hushed vocals and lush intrumentation will have a hard time resisting their album “A Book Like This”.
