“A Pain That I’m Used To” by Depeche Mode

In it’s own right, I think the original is bad. Real bad, I can’t stand thirty seconds of it. But this remix? I could listen for hours!

This remix is done by legendary remixer Jacques Lu Cont, and his work is magic.

I first heard this song on the soundtrack for FIFA World Cup 2006, and have been enthralled ever since, and yes this is some good football music.

This piece stands on it’s own legs, and really doesn’t require any introduction.

In a nutshell, dub is an artistic remix. I found some dub mixes of some Killers songs a few months ago, and well they are a great introduction into what Dub is, as far as electropop goes. You’ll find that one main hook of lyrics is constantly repeated as the remixer is trying to get you to focus on those specific lyrics.
