And being a lover of folk music, I have just always enjoyed that he had this outlet for exploring his softer ideas and more personal convictions. But I think I am finally coming around to the music of Cursive. I am falling in love with the first single off of their new album, Mama, I’m Swollen, which hits stores a week from today. “From the Hips” is a a stellar track, and it is the intensity found in his powerful vocals, and the slightly chaotic drumming that help drive this addictive song. If this song is indicative of the whole album, I think we are going to be in for a real treat. Although if you are smart, you won’t wait til next week to find out. Saddle Creek is offering the album as a digital download for a discounted price this week. On Mondy they put the album up for only $1 and will be increasing the price by a dollar each day until it reaches its regular price of $9. So that means that today you can get the album for just $3. So don’t delay, hurry up and take advantage of this great deal.
