Although a lot of the songs have the same beat, it is really cool to hear some songs with the “pop beat” in the background (i.e. I’m Yours by Jason Mraz). I also find it really cool to look back on the popular songs on 2009 because it brings back memories to when and where I heard those songs for the first time.

I definitely noticed the same thing after hearing Earworm’s 2008 mash-up last year. It was like I just realized I’d been brainwashed for the past year haha.
