RW: Hide & Seek (Fishfood Techno Remix)

Posted: April 15th, 2009 | Author: Cody | Filed under: Articles About Music, Remix of the Week | Tags: , | 8 Comments »

Since I’m slammed with homework this week, I’m gonna keep things short and sweet.

I was perusing the Newgrounds.com Audio Portal, looking for new and interesting things, when I found this. I’m a big fan of Imogen Heap, and this techno remix is fantastic.

Imogen Heap – Hide and Seek (Fishfood Techno Mix)

I hope your ears can handle the intensity of the bleeding that is about to happen!

That is truly awful. They have really butchered that song. It’s not techno either. It’s horrible Ibiza trance-house.

Uh oh . . . more proof that 95% of anything is complete & utter garbage. There is truly nothing worse than a vanilla techno remix. It’s kind of like hearing my sister play Ace of Bass when I was nine years old. I thought, “Wow, this is cool!” Of course, at nine years old, I didn’t know anything about anything. Hate to say it, but 95% of the bloggers on Hypem are wasting about 95% of my freaking time when I search for music. Garbage, garbage, garbage, garbage, garbage. BEYOND GARBAGE. I’m almost completely certain I myself could produce any number of these god awful ‘techno’ remixes. Excuse me, I have to go throw up now. And yes, check my bloody ears. (I just don’t understand how people can have such TERRIBLE TASTE!!!!! As Thom Yorke sings, “GET ME OUTTA HERE!”)

This remix is pretty tight. Nothing mind blowing, but it would be amazing to dance to. It’s also something to note that the lyrics to this song originally are really not timed right for this kind of song, and they were restructured fairly well.

Anyway to Bob Loblaw, I say this – go find your music somewhere else then. Also, this is what I usually do when I find a song I don’t like on Hypem I move on to something else instead of going to the blog and making a big deal about how much my life sucks because a song I don’t like came on.

What’s so bad about what I did to it? I really enjoy it… Is it really that bad? :(

Fishfood, what you did is impressive, whether people like it or not. It’s music – you’re never going to please everyone. So just keep making music because at least you’re contributing something to the world besides negativity (like our friend above). Of course, there’s something to be said for people expressing their opinions, but dude above is bitter about a lot more than your song.
