ReMASH Wednesday: Teenage Electric Lobotomy

I’ve got quite the treat today. It’s a new kind of remix. I introduced Dub mixes a few weeks ago, and now I’d like to introduce Mash-Ups. What exactly is a mashup?
A mashup is a song or composition created from the combination of the music from one song and vocals from another. [wikipedia]
The easy way to remember it, is to think of it as a remix with more than one song.
Well, the main contributor, Nathan (my editor), emailed me about how everyone and their mum are doing remixes of MGMT (pronounced Management). Well I didn’t want to feel left out, but I also wanted to post something that no-one else is posting.
So here’s where the mashup came into play.
Todays song is called: Teenage Electric Lobotomy, and it consists of:
- MGMT – Electric Feel
- Justice – ?
- The Ramones – Teenage Lobotomy
The Illuminoids – Teenage Electric Lobotomy (MGMT vs. Justice vs. The Ramones) (removed 2/13/09)
So enjoy the sweet mashed up goodness. It will leave you singing The Ramones for days.
