Flight of the Conchords

By Nathan | July 27, 2008

I was first introduced to these guys about three years ago by a friend of mine who had seen their live performance on HBO’s “One Night Stand.” It was a priceless performance that just got funnier the more you watched it. Which was great because with each friend that I showed, they then had another person they knew just had to see it. And trust me when I tell you that you have to see it as well. Unfortunately I’ve lost my video file that I had doesn’t work any more (something about the video codec is lost or something like that). But not to worry. A lot has happened since I first stumbled upon “New Zealand’s fourth most popular comedy folk duo.” Not only have they released an EP and a full-lenght album under Sub Pop, but they have also written and starred in the first season of their own comedic television show on HBO. The show is hysterical. It functions as a sort-of musical sitcom. I highly recommend you checking it out. From what I can understand, they are in the process of writing a second season, but I haven’t heard yet when that is supposed to air. For now, here is one of my favorite songs to come out of the first season.
